An understanding of depression, anxiety and other mood disorders
Often psychological distress gets communicated by the mind through the body in the form of pain, eating disorders, sweating, feeling low, losing interest, or feeling anxious often referred to as depression, general anxiety disorder, bipolar mood disorder, anorexia, bulimia, post-traumatic stress disorder and so on. These feelings are, in either case, a call to healing, your body shouting out for help for your own sake and a sign that you are being tripped up by old thoughts and experiences.
So what now?
Psychologists work in different ways. I rely on a practical and structured process researched by a team of psychologists, neurologists, and other medical mental health professionals. The approach allows clients to measure their own progress though how they feel and respond to situations at home, with friends and at work. This process has helped thousands of people and is constantly evolving and growing with current research being conducted around the globe. The focus is in how you are thinking, feeling and how your distress is expressed interpersonally and experienced physically. I am registered with most medical aid and will make sure that claiming through your medical aid is as easy and painless as possible.
